Marriages

Marriages should be booked as early as possible and the date discussed with the Vicar before other arrangements (reception, etc) have been booked. We can help you with arrangements for music, flowers etc., to make the day truly memorable. The Vicar will contact you to arrange preparation for your marriage about 3 months before the ceremony.

If either party has previously been married to someone who is still alive, special circumstances apply which the Vicar will talk about with you.

To book a wedding please come along to the church on a Sunday morning and introduce yourself to the Vicar. She will then give you a leaflet about the service and an application form.

Holy Baptism

Through our Baptism (as infants, children or adults) we become part of God’s family, the Christian Church across the world. We also thank God for our life (or our child’s life) and celebrate this with family and friends.

Baptism normally takes place either during the Family Service or at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. About 3 month's notice is encouraged.

You will be expected to attend an evening of preparation for the service, together with the Godparents if they live locally. If the baptism takes place on a Sunday afternoon then you will also be expected to join in the Family Service on the Sunday following the baptism service.
