As a Church we see charitable giving as part of our Christian duty and responsibility. Each year, as well as supporting Christian Aid and other causes, St Andrew's PCC selects one particular charity then sets aside money from our general funds and organises fundraising activities to support that cause.
This year's fundraising is for WaterAid, an international charity working for a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation.

2014/15: Outside-In, Shefford
Throughout 2014 and 2015 we continued our fundraising for Outside-In, a local project providing support and information for families and professionals dealing with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), ASC (Autistic Spectrum Conditions) and related conditions.
2013: St John's Hospice and Keech Hospice
Our fundraising in 2013 focused on two local specialist palliative care centres: St John's Hospice, the Sue Ryder Care Centre at Moggerhanger; and Keech Hospice at Streatley, near Luton. Please see the notice boards in church for details of the totals raised.
Our chosen charity for 2012 was CHUMS, a Bedfordshire based charity which provides bereavement support for children and young people. Our total raised was £660: thank you to everyone who contributed.
2011: Mercy Ships
Our chosen charity for 2011 was MERCY SHIPS. £50 per month was set aside from general funds with additional contributions from events and donations: a full house for our fundraising tea in August 2011 brought in £273.60. The total raised and sent to Mercy Ships was £1,070: thank you to everyone who contributed.
